A Study

I tried using acrylics today because I suspect my water mixable oils are causing me to break out in hives. I absolutely LOVE working with acrylics compared to the water mixable oils, which were becoming quite a pain in the youknowwhat. The colour is so pure with acrylics, because it dries so quickly, there is no chance of it getting mixed with another colour you put down. It especially works nice when placing separations of colour down like I've done here. I experimented using a famous painting by James Guthrie (Glasgow Boys), To Pastures New. It's still a work in progress. I like it enough to finish it off.
