Spirit Bird

DPW challenge for this week was to paint the flying spirit of the bird sans the details. I'm so happy with all of the feedback I've received on this painting. I received an email from a fellow painter on DPW telling me that she thought it was the best bird painting she has ever seen. Praise indeed! She also thought I should enter it in a show. It's something to keep in mind. Oil on board. 6 x 6 inches.

"Jelly Belly, Jelly Beans" Hi Paula -- I just want you to know how I love your painting. I went to the States. actually for a memorial service for my favorite Aunt. I asked me sister to try to resist opening the package that would arrive from UK and she did resist. So at just the right time we opened it together. Just a delight. I'm going to have it framed in a rather generous frame -- I think it will look good with a wide border. I'm an artist too and just went to the Daily Painters site on a whim when somebody in the Wet Canvas forum mentioned it. Your painting just jumped out at me, and why not -- the subject, the colours and really nicely done. It's the first time I've bought a painting from any site. I hope you have a lot of luck with this. "Bathing Beauty" Great news! I got both the painting and your postcard in the mail today. You did such a good job of packaging the painting, putting it into the drawstring sequenced baggie and including a wooden picture stand with it. It exceeds my expectations. I like it a lot.
