Girl without a pearl earring Oil on hardboard 6 x 6 inches
This was inspired by a facebook friends photo of his wife. I could just see it would make a good painting. As I was painting it I was struck by the similarity of Vermeers 'Girl with a pearl earring'. So it was a no brainer to name it "Girl without a pearl earring". The photo I worked from is shown below.
